Pre-production

This is part of my pre-production. Here I have created my own magazine cover. I have based it around female fitness and to help me complete it I looked at a variety of different kinds of fitness magazines.
There are a lot of areas within this magazine which could be worked on and improved to make it look more professional and flow more. One area which could be improved could be the colours as they don't flow as well as I hoped and don't match. So I will think about this when making my final cover and I will make sure that I think more closely about the colours and make sure they flow. A second area which could be improved is the bubble in the bottom left hand side of the cover as it is stands out too much and the writing doesn't naturally look right on the bubble, therefore i will consider this when completing my final cover.
On the other hand some areas on this cover have worked exceptionally well and I am pleased with how they worked out. I am happy about the Masthead as I think it flows well with the main image as the colour matches well with the models shorts. The size of the model and the masthead also work very well with the model slightly covering up some of the masthead. I produced the masthead behind the model and this was a common pattern within the other magazines I looked at. I also think the yellow highlights over the black writing works quite well as it makes one specific word stand out and the colours contrast very well with one another.

Textual analysis of The Wrong Mans

Visual Codes
There are large variety of visual codes within this programme for example close up camera shots of drained facial expressions which shows the general mood of the character (tired). Another example of a visual codes are clothes as they are the same clothes from the night before which shows that the character may be lazy or was very drunk the night before.
Technical Codes
The lighting at the start of the programme changes from light to dark very quickly and this shows the contrast he had from the night he's had and the morning. A second technical code would the camera looking down on the person when he's sad and crying. This would show they are looking down on him because he is being pathetic. Mise en scene would be the morning after the party and flashbacks of the party and walking to work in the show which informs the audience on his situation and helps us to make assumptions.
Audio codes
Digetic sound would be an example of an audio code. Which would be when he is listening to his headphone because you can here his music which makes the audience feel like we're in his position. There is an example of non digetic sound at start this creates and builds up tension.

Favorite Film
white chicks is my favorite because I like watching comedies and white chicks is a very amusing film. This film is a 2004 American comedy, directed by Keenen Ivory Wayans and written and produced by Keenen Wayans, Shawn Wayans and Marlon Wayans. The plot revolves around whiteface drag, as two African American FBI agents disguise themselves as two White American women.
